About Me: The 360° Bio

Born in Brooklyn to Haitian immigrant parents, and raised on Long Island, New York, Vladimir Plantin grew up teaching himself how to draw art, and from the age of 12 has dedicated his life to understanding the art and science of cartoons, movies, comic books, video games, & anime, and the psychology behind the ways these parts of the pop culture media affect humans, whether they’ve watched or created them.

He has been pursuing a career in the field of animation, starting from just his middle school days, and has since not only drawn hundreds of cartoon characters from several companies (including Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, DC, Marvel, etc.), but has also written stories about them (though still works in progress), and has even created his own concepts for animated shows he would like to see in the mainstream media someday.

However, his artistic passions have also expanded in recent years to photography, graphic design, web design, cinematography and other areas of Digital Media Design as well, which is the major he is currently a student in at Central Ohio Technical College. He plans to graduate in 2020 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences, and is planning to transfer to the Columbus College of Art and Design in order to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation. What he calls his greatest goal in life is learning to be a master in creative writing, and in many visual and technological arts, so that, in turn, he may use them to help better the world and its people in as many ways as possible.
